WILD GREEN is a Celtic band featuring lively jigs and reels, hauntingly lovely airs, silly songs, and sing-alongs, delivered with the natural talent and whimsy of Marilyn O'Malley, Francis Small, Ann Chambers, and Stefan Goya. These seasoned musicians find great versatility within the Celtic genre, capturing exquisite beauty, wild passion and light-heartedness.

Marilyn O'Malley's vocals emanate the fragile loveliness of lyrical Irish airs and resonate solid womanly power when she sings a rebel song or well-crafted composition of her own. She also shares some rollicking bawdy songs and an occasional sea shanty. Her singing is authentic, not only within the genre, but in the down-to-earth "realness" that is Marilyn. She was in the Portland Irish bands, "Sheer Audacity" and "Brigid's Fire:, Olympia's Celtic trio, "Metcalf, McKeegan & O'Malley", and Northwest all-woman sea shanty group, "Broadside". Her Taylor guitar provides wild rhythms or light finger-picking.

Francis Small, an accomplished fiddler who studied under local legend, Gus Garelick, flies off the bow with both passionate jigs and eloquent airs. He is also a fine vocalist, creating beautiful harmonies with Marilyn and bringing down the house with hilarious ballads. His wry sense of humor and unpretentious manner are delightfully engaging. Francis played in local groups Avocet and Down the Back Lane.

Ann Chambers is a lively percussionist, playing the Irish bodhran and other drums, as well as the lap dulcimer. In Colorado, Ann was the host of a two-hour Celtic radio show for 6 years and performed with the Wild Geese of Durango for 13 years. Ann is a Master Gardener in Sebastopol, with years of gardening and farming experience. She also plays dulcimer with UU Celts and now hosts a radio show on KOWS radio called Celtic Contrasts.

Stefan Goya native of San Francisco, is the newest member of the band. A gifted musician, Stefan first picked up the guitar at age fourteen, played the electric bass for many years, and added fiddle and cello along the way. Stefan calls his own music "Keltazz" for Celtic Jazz, and adds a sprinkle of zaniness to Wild Green's entertaining performances.

WILD GREEN is based in Sonoma County, California. They are available for both large and small events, and their broad scope of material within the Celtic genre, along with Marilyn's originals, allows them to tailor their set lists from sophisticated to silly, depending on the nature of the event.
